Complaint Process and Managers

Students who feel that their rights are being violated have the right to take action and should not be afraid of trying to correct a situation by speaking to a school administrator, Title IX/Bullying Complaint Manager (Ms. Tunson, Mr. Bennett, Mr. Chang), psychologist, counselor, or trusted adult at school, or filing a complaint. In general, students have six months from the date the alleged incident occurred or when they first obtained knowledge of the incident.

El Camino’s Uniform Complaint Procedures (click here) contain additional information about:

  • Filing a complaint including the school’s official complaint form (click here)
  • Statute of limitations for filing a complaint
  • How the complaint will be investigated
  • Information about how to further pursue the complaint beyond the school site
