Ms. Stefanie Bero, counseling office #1
Ms. Bero earned her Bachelor of Science from SUNY Geneseo, located in western New York, and majored in elementary education, special education, and psychology. After obtaining her teaching credentials in Childhood Education and Students with Disabilities, she worked in a K-12 district in New York but ultimately decided to pursue counseling. She earned her Educational Specialist and Masters of Education from the University of Florida, specializing in school counseling and mental health counseling. Ms. Bero holds a Pupil Personnel Services Credential and an Administrative Services Credential and has been working at El Camino Real Charter High School since 2011.
Academic Counselor for students with last names D-HE and International Students:
Mr. Justin Graham, counseling office #1
Mr. Graham, as well as his three brothers, is a El Camino Real alum. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Humboldt State University, where he majored in psychology and also played intercollegiate football as a defensive back. Shortly after, he received one of his Masters of Arts in school counseling with a Pupil Personnel Service credential from Phillips Graduate Institute and the other Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies with a Tier 1 Administrative Credential from California State University, Northridge.
Justin was a counselor at Paul Revere Charter Middle School for 6 years, where he received the Founder’s Day Award in 2012-13 school-year for excellence in education. He also coached JV/Varsity football at Palisades Charter High School for 3 years. Currently, he’s the varsity defensive backs/running backs coach for the past 4 seasons. He’s also the Head Track Coach for ECRCHS.
Justin’s favorite athletic professional teams are the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Washington Redskins. He enjoys spending time with family and friends. His advice towards academic success is: study hard, study smart, and most importantly – study with comprehension.

Mrs. Lynsey Shano, counseling office #2
Mrs. Shano earned her Bachelors of Arts in psychology from San Diego State University. She went on to earn her Masters of Arts in educational counseling from National University and obtained her Pupil Personnel Services Credential. She has been a counselor at El Camino Real Charter High School since 2011. She is a proud ECR alumni. Her family is everything to her and they enjoy being active together and planning weekend activities.

Ms. Xenia Paniagua, counseling office #1
Ms. Paniagua earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history with a minor in political science from UCLA in 2005. After spending time working with K-12 students in different capacities, she earned a Master of Arts degree in counseling with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Counseling from Loyola Marymount University in 2014. Ms. Paniagua has been a High School Counselor since 2014 and a proud member of El Camino Real Charter High School since 2015.

Mr. Stephen Perry, counseling office #2
Mr. Perry earned his Bachelor of Science in psychology from California Lutheran University in 2005. He went on to earn his Masters of Science in counseling and guidance from California Lutheran University in 2008. Mr. Perry holds his Pupil Personnel Service Credential and has been an academic counselor at El Camino Real Charter High School since 2011. He is currently the assistant head coach for the varsity football team and has been a part of the football program for the last five years.

Mr. Doug Coleman, counseling office #2
Mr. Coleman earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business from California State University, Northridge. He then earned his Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from CSUN. Prior to coming to ECR, he was a teacher for the Las Virgenes Unified School District for ten years. He earned his Master’s Degree of Science in Counseling and Guidance with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential from California Lutheran University. Mr. Coleman was the boys’ varsity volleyball coach for nine years.

Ms. Diana Yerevanian, college office
Ms. Y is thrilled to be a new college counselor at El Camino Real Charter High School. She grew up in Los Angeles and attended AGBU Marie Manoogian Demirdjian High School. Ms. Y earned her Bachelor degree in Sociology from UCSB. She received her Masters in School Counseling with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential from Loyola Marymount University in 2009 and completed the Multiple Subject Teaching Credential Program from CSUN in 2010. She spent six years at a non-profit providing after school services to at risk-youth across various schools in LAUSD. She has enjoyed every minute of her time at ECRCHS meeting so many wonderful students and families. She is excited to be working with a team of educators whom she holds in high regard.

Ms. Rachel Bereny, college office
Ms. Bereny, who also goes by Ms. B, received her Bachelor of Science in Human Development from UC Davis. She continued her education at CSUN for her Masters of Science and Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Counseling. In addition to her masters, Ms. B has completed the coursework for Professional Clinical Counseling. Prior to coming to El Camino, Ms. B worked as a school counselor at the CHIME Institute and CHAMPS Charter. She is excited to join the El Camino Real Charter High School!
