How to send ACT or SAT scores

Information about Sending Test Scores to Colleges

  • It is your responsibility to know which colleges require which tests and to request that your scores be sent from www.collegeboard.org or www.actstudent.org to the colleges.  The high school transcript typically will not have your test scores on it and colleges will want scores sent from ACT or College Board in order for it to be considered official.
  • The best time to order your test results sent to the schools is the last time you received your scores because at that point all your scores can be sent at the same time.
  • If you send your scores to the schools, but you test in December, you must remember to send your December scores ASAP.
  • You must send your SAT or ACT scores BEFORE the deadline. It can take up to two weeks to process and if the scores do not arrive on time, your application can be cancelled.
  • Scores from standardized tests do NOT appear on your ERCHS transcript. Most colleges want them sent directly from College Board or ACT.
