Pierce Rep comes every Friday to talk to students
The Honors Program (or it’s equivalent at other community colleges) can enhance a student’s ability to transfer to a highly selective college like UCLA. But please remember that the program does not guarantee admissions. You will have fill out a separate application to get into the Honors Program.
1) Complete the application at www.piercecollege.edu
2) Complete the online orientation
3) Complete English and Math Assessment
4) Meet with a counselor at the Student Services Building at Pierce
5) Register for classes- You will receive a registration appointment time after you complete your application.
Students need to apply online, take the concurrent enrollment form to the admissions office, and show up on the first day to get an “add” card. The “add” card must be taken back to the admission office at Pierce.
The IGETC is approximately 34-37 CSU/UC transferable semester units. A minimum of 60 CSU/UC transferable semester units is required for transfer. You will need to complete additional coursework in your major and maybe some elective courses. Please see a counselor at Pierce to develop an Educational Plan so you can reach your goals. Please note that colleges have different IGETCs.
