February 9, 2017

  • A-G Information Night: What class does your student need to get into college?  ECR counselors will present on the different types of class available at ECR and how to meet college admissions requirements
  • 7pm in Anderson Hall

March 1, 2017:

  • “Secrets of College Admissions” by Liz Marks from Collegewise.
  • 7 pm in the Library
  • For all students and parents but especially a topic for 11th graders


April 5, 2017

  • 9th and 10th grade Night: Get information about what your students in 9th and 10th grade need to know about college admission
  • 7 pm in the Library


RACC Mini-College Fair on August 30, 2016

Approximately 10-20 RACC affiliated schools will be available to talk to students and parents. As an additional component of the mini-fair, RACC give a presentation of each of the school at the beginning of the evening. The interactive presentation will walk students through their out-of-state options and advantages of considering colleges outside of California.

College Extraordinaire 2016 @ Pierce College on September 10, 2016

Join us for our joint college fair at the Pierce Campus where over 100 college reps will be attending. Students will have the opportunity to talk to college reps and attend over 20 workshops. Workshops will start at 9:30 am.  Free lunch will be provided at the end of the fair

Fall College Knowledge Night on September 15, 2016

This is a college informational night for parents and students about the basics of applying to colleges. This event will be held before the start of Back to School Night. The College Counselors will present on “Admission 101”. We will discuss different admission requirements and standards for the UC, CSU, private, out-of-state, and community college schools.

Financial Aid (FAFSA) Information Night on October 5, 2016

Students and families will be able to file the 2017-2018 FAFSA as early as October 1, 2016–earlier than the previous January 1 date. Learn how to apply for financial aid through the FAFSA. Learn about what kinds of grants and scholarships are available for your student.

Parents of the opportunity to opt out of CAL Grant GPA submission online by October 15. We do not recommend that you do it since the Cal Grant GPA has to be submitted to the CSAC anyways.    Click here for the form



“Roundtable meeting with College Counselors” for parents

Throughout the year, we will offer roundtable meetings with parents by grade level. The roundtable conversations will provide you the opportunity to ask questions and get answers in a small group setting. Information about the various time and date will be posted on the website at www.ecrchs.net on the College Office tab by late August.  Please check the website for dates and times.


College Rep Visits:

College Reps from all over the country visit with ECR students throughout the semester. Please check the Naviance program and RSVP through Naviance if the student wants to meet with to the college reps. (Students only!) The college rep visit information will also be provided on the website.


Mock SAT and ACT Tests

Mock SAT and ACT Tests are available for students to take on weekends for $10. It provides a good opportunity for students to see which tests (ACT or SAT) is better for them. The mock exams are sponsored by different test prep companies. Please see the website under the College Office tab for dates and times.
