Cool 2B Kind (C2BK)

Club members attended the Human Growth Foundation’s SAY NO BULLYING event on Saturday, April 22,  at Griffith Park.

The Club was honored to be invited by the Human Growth Foundation and to represent ECRCHS as the club continues to bring awareness and work towards ending bullying.

Cool2BeKind (C2BK) was established as a Nationally recognized bullying prevention club in 2011. Founded by Victoria Mendez, sister of the late Daniel Mendez, C2BK’s mission is to spread kindness through activism.

In August 2016, Zachary Leo, Emily Park, Mr. Hussey and Ms. Berda adopted the bylaws of C2BK, and ECRCHS became the 1st LAUSD school to have a Nationally Recognized bullying prevention club.

C2BK participated in many events this school year– ranging from the Laguna Anti-Bullying March to the Peaceful Platt March to Blue Ribbon Week campus activities to hosts of Speaker Nights and being a hosted booth at the 2nd Annual Say No Bullying Festival in Griffith Park. Starting with only 7 original members, C2BK at ECRCH recently had 25 students attend their last lunch planning meeting.  As the club grows as ECRCHS, it also strives to get local schools to adopt the bylaws. To date, Haynes Charter Elementary, Pomelo Elementary and Hale Middle School have joined the movement.

There are so many different opportunities to get involved–both as a student and as a teacher and parent–with C2BK.

Meetings are held Mondays in Z-4. You can contact us and follow us on these Social Media Accounts:
