Programs Offered
Special Education

Students who meet eligibility requirements under the Individual with Disabilities in Education Act are provided an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). In compliance with state and federal guidelines, ECRCHS provides a continuum of services and program options for students in special education.

El Camino Real Charter High School’s Special Education Department operates using the Collaboration/Inclusion Model and provides students, who receive special education services, a Free And Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).

ECRCHS students are provided with a positive and supportive educational environment and have access to curriculum and instructional practices through a continuum of services which include, but are not limited, to the following programs:

Resource Support Program (RSP):

Students enrolled in the RSP program are provided with support in General Education classrooms through the help of RSP Teachers, Co-Teachers, Paraprofessionals, and other related services providers. The RSP Program also offers students additional assistance in the Resource Room for help with homework, tutoring, small-group instruction, and other academic support.

Special Day Program (SDP)

Students are provided with direct specialized instruction in a separate classroom environment for most of the school day. As appropriate, students who are enrolled in special day classes interact with their general education peers through academic, non-academic, and extracurricular activities.
